Garret Nussmeier is my pick for most overrated. Although he has obvious talent and at times he’s looked like a very capable quarterback, his career numbers scream average at best. I honestly think he’ll have a pretty good season, but some of the preseason love I’m hearing is a bit premature. I think LSU fans probably shouldn’t get overly excited this season.
Career Numbers
58.9% completion percentage
11 TDS
7 Ints

Graham Mertz is my most underrated quarterback. Last season’s stats
72.9% competition percentage
20 tds
3 ints

has good numbers because Billy has him throw high percentage and low risk passes

Not a bad qb but properly rated.

Decent game manager but won’t put a game in his back (no Disney gators, South Carolina was terrible last year that doesn’t count $

Mertz isn’t the problem for Florida, it’s the talent around him.

Ricky Pearsall was a first round pick

Problem is not talent it’s coaching. Particularly the head coach, who is also the OC.

Basically, Napier is the problem

He is part of the problem. Kid can’t hit side if a barn at times. Why do you think best RB in SEC left. In todays football the passing game opens up running game.

Of course he is he plays for LSU. Not saying Garrett is gonna win the Heisman or anything but he is entering his 4th season at LSU and has had plenty of playing experience. I think he’s gonna be pretty damn good.

Fair enough. I admittedly didn’t watch all of Floridas games last season, but when I did, I thought Mertz played pretty well. His numbers say he puts the ball where it needs to go. I know 3,000 yards is not exactly gun slinger type yards these days, but those numbers should be good enough to win games.

Edit: I forgot that he didn’t even play the final game and still threw for 2,903 yards in 11 games. That’s 264 yards a game, with 20tds and 3 interceptions. That’s good quarterback play

There's a good chance, he might not be the problem for the entire season.

I think Spurrier might close out the year if Sun Belt Billy can't get it done.......

Brady Cook wont be 1st team all SEC or anything but he is probably going to be better than what he is "rated." heading into the season.

This is Kelly's year.

With Nick Saban off to the lake, Kelly has to step up. DeBoer -- he will be a solid HC down the road, but it's gonna take him a few seasons to get his feet under himself.

Freeze -- That guy's strengths were from pre-NIL times. Auburn's a dumpster fire, plain and simple. Freeze will be out of the fambly in two, maybe three seasons. Auburn sucks. Period.

Kiffin -- Ole Miss will look flashy for a hot minute. But, come on, no depth, no defense. They’ll be crumbling by the end of the season.

Mizzou -- Total paper tiger.

Tennessee -- See Ole Miss. They’ll drop at least three games if their QB situation is the usual mess at the end of the season and it will be.

Texas -- Might be decent, but Manning? Big question mark. Probably won’t live up to the hype imo.

Oklahoma -- They’re losing at least four games. They'll get better probably but not anytime soon.

The rest -- Same old story. They suck, especially sad, sad A&M.

If Kelly can't battle Georgia over the SEC at least this season, he may never do it.

This is his shot. Time for him to step up.

But there was no way LSU was winning that game. They ended up with 4 losses. Not even on the same level with the Dawgs that year.

Freeze's strengths were only available pre-NIL.
He beat Alabama back-to-back years with 2 QBs whose total NFL stats are 1x QB kneel for a 1 yard loss.

The question is does Freeze still have it, and after the Barn's QB play last season, I don't think he does.

To act like Freeze pre-hookers was only successful because Ole Miss was paying players is dumb tho.
