No power in Texas? I have to go down there for work this week, so hopefully it isn't a big issue

A huge chunk of the greater Houston area has been out since Thursday when we were hit with incredibly bad weather. It’s a bad scene.

Damn, it’s hot here. Have friends in Bridgeland and electricity is mostly on. Going off for a few hours then back on.

I have partners flying into Houston and driving down to Corpus this week. I'm flying into SA, spending time with clients, and doing the same. Hope your power issues get straightened out soon. Lack of AC in Texas kills people

What is up with Texas and the power grid?

My mom and step dad are still without power in Piney Point Village. Supposed to be back on Tomorrow but we'll see.

Wild that much damage was done.

Sales partners, you idiot ... I work for a major vendor in IT, and some partners are going to Corpus with us. We sell the hardware, and they sell the services to support it.

It’s not the power grid. Tornadoes destroyed a massive amount of equipment.

There are some honest to goodness real assholes on this board.

Living in the south, none of us have been untouched by bad weather. If you’re ever in need, give me a shout and I’ll be there, despite the fact that you’re a giant prick.

Wow ... prayers for all those without power. This time of year, no AC is a dangerous prospect in Texas.

Prayers for sure.

Texas was okay without air conditioning for many years and will be okay.

God bless Texas.
