I think the most frustrating aspect of Golding's defense was its inability to make a critical stop at the moment when momentum had shifted to back to us.

Bingo. Wasn’t it the LSU game where the offense never took the field with a lead?

LSU scored the last three times they touched the ball. UT had a game winning drive. A&M’s shitty offense marched down the field and ran out of time. We stopped Ole Miss but they had a throw into the endzone to win the game.

Golding’s defenses had a remarkable ability to buckle nearly every time the game was on their shoulders. This year’s defense won’t be confused with 1992 or 2011, but they at least have shown the ability to make plays in the second half to help close out a big game.

I, personal opinion, think that the Ark game was a real opportunity to change Bama's perception. Bama had the chance to 35/42 -10 Arkansas on the same day that Oregon lost but instead herped and derped to a way to close win. Granted it was only one week later that Bama stomps UT but in a pack of similar record teams... Getting the perception of being a dynamic team a week earlier helps

Jalen Milroe is a semi-finalist for both the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards. Who would have thought that back in September after the Texas game and his benching against South Florida?

Alabama will continue to be without linebacker Deontae Lawson (ankle), safety Jaylen Key (quad) and wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks (shoulder) against Chattanooga, sources tell BamaCentral.

All three missed last weekend's game at Kentucky — a 49-21 Crimson Tide win. Lawson and Key were able to practice this week, but only in black injury-designated jerseys. Brooks wasn't a participant in practice all week.

Jermaine Burton also missed last week's game with an illness, but will be ready to play on Saturday against the Mocs (7-3, 6-2 SoCon).
