Coach is a loyal Gator, he will error to the positive when predicting or discussing the team. Having said that, when I look at this team, the improved talent, and the situations with some of the competition, I believe that 8 to 9 wins are completely possible. Keep in mind that I am a complete Homer and see everything thru orange and blue glasses. Sorry Coach Spurrier but my prediction is 12-0. Goooooooo Gators! UG still suxs.

Should he have said that Florida is going to suck and their fans should abandon all hope?

They have a brutal schedule next two years. UF drew the short straw when the SEC expanded to 16 teams.
they’re on pace for 5 straight losing seasons. The new UK football program staying one step ahead of Vandy.

No, but that is the way those wannabes will play you.

They'll play us like Michigan would? If you say so.

What AD in their right mind would schedule 3, Power-4 teams, as part of their OOC schedule?
UCF wasn't P4/P5 when the game was scheduled.

Would that even.be a good thing for UF though?

It would just keep billy there longer and it's obvious that he's nothing remotely close to being a championship level coach.

I'm really surprised that gator fans have been this patient with him. It's like they are completely apathetic about their football program now. Strange times.

He just teed up Sunbelt Billy for a guaranteed mid-season firing.

This is why BC did this.

Steve and Jerri are Gators through and through. Nothing but love for the Orange and Blue.

I think he truly believes it. I’m on board too. Billy and company are going to shock some people.

The record won’t be pretty, but Billy keeps his job and wins a bowl game.

As long as Billy continues beating Tennessee everything else doesn't matter.

Billy doesn’t need any help from anyone for that. He’s doing it on his own .

Fla is finding out how us Vols have felt the past 20 years.
When you trip and fall it’s hard to get back up.
But Fla should always be competing for championships in that state with all the talent there.
FSU will be joining the SEC soon enough and that will nail the coffin shut.

He's pretty well known for being brutally honest but diplomatic about Florida.. He would have said "well it sure is a tough schedule hopefully we got enough" if he didn't think they'd be ok.

I think we're in pretty good shape but it's all about the first half of the schedule. We could easily lose our last five.

I think we end 6-6 but I don't know how anyone could predict a bowl win against an unknown opponent

This isn't true but it is funny as hell we've consistently beat UT even when we're a dumpster fire

You think Spurrier is worried about Billy surpassing him?

All the hand wringing over a tough schedule. Does your fan base look forward to the weekends you play New Mexico or Louisiana Monroe? Those are the weekends to schedule weddings.
