It's going to suck. The only reason it exists is to make money and not actually help determine a proper champion.

Teams like Ole Miss and Missouri get in now
if only they had their chance during the regular season to play teams like bama and UGA...

So the NFL, MLB, and every other professional sport has it wrong?
Losing once doesn’t mean you aren’t capable of winning.
Bama got lucky to get a rematch with LSU in 2011 and we whooped their arse. Off your logic, Bama wasn’t the better team cause we lost in the regular season.

This is all there is to it for those in charge.

I think thats where its headed...a champion akin to the NFL model. There will still be SOS inequality but nothing like has happened in the past. 4 -8 team divisions in a super conference playing everyone in the conference and at least 2 from the other divisions every year and a 16 team playoff. No one is interested in UGA and UAB except families that do not get a chance to attend a game in person with an opponent that can sell tickets. a 7-2 schedule would still allow for some of those rent a wins like UGA/GT....if, of course, programs like GT survive being relegated to a lower tier of football - they do it volunarily now but there is the illusion of still playing at the higher level.

You lost me here. How does a playoff not help determine a proper champion? You think an opinionated, biased voting system set up by the media is better than actually playing it out on the field?
