And it happens all the time. If your coach can catch a guy in the act, he’s suspended 4 games, but A&M didn’t bother checking him.

I honestly think the actual A&M players and coaches care way less than the fans. They know that they’ve faced dozens of other guys who’ve used stuff this season and there’s a good chance some A&M pitchers have used stuff too. Any baseball player knows it’s part of the game. If you can catch him in the act, good for you. If you can’t, oh well.

It’s exactly like MLB before they cracked down. Lots of guys using it. If you could catch a guy in the act, that was fine, but it’s not some massive scandal. Just part of the game. There were actually several hitters who came out and said they wanted pitchers to be able to use something so they would have better control and not worry about getting one to the dome with a 100 MPH fastball.

Man, just stop. Yes, there are players in every sport who cheat, but this was embarrassingly bad. Quit defending it.

So does speeding. And underage drinking. And texting while driving. They’re still violations.

There’s a reason pitchers attempt to hide the behavior, rather than keeping a sheet of sand paper pinned to their jerseys.

I don’t particularly care about this issue one way or another; but the horns who are loudly chirping about how unreasonable it is for one team to point out the other team’s behavior are just being goofy.

No surprise, of course.

100%

Baseball, amongst all sports, embodies "If you're not cheating, you're not trying".
