Ozuna walks, Olson singles. Another run cost, 13. Becoming a trend.

The Braves will always be out-strategized with Snit as mngr.
The WS win was despite him. He tried to let Luke Jackson lose every single on of our series victories at some point that year.

Rumors Acuna may not have torn the knee. This season is a bit of a train wreck.

Lose the favorite for the Cy Young in week 1

Lose starting catcher first week

Lose last years MVP in May

Not an auspicious start as skip carry used to say.

Yep, very rough start. Not just injuries, but guys struggling big time at the plate. Fried getting pulled in the first inning of his first start due to missed strike call, etc.

Pretty much have to hope the bats are hot in the fall and that Lopez, Sale, and Fried are all sharp in postseason. That, and the Phillies going cold/rusty after the layoff like Braves/Dodgers have the past couple of years.

Welp, Acuna has demolished his left knee. Out for season.

We've got everybody where we want them now if you know what I mean.

The Phillies look like the class of the National League and perhaps all of baseball at the moment which makes this that much worse.
Anything can happen in October, though. There's no reason the Braves can't get a wildcard. Let the Phillies have a week off in October. See how they respond.

Acuña is a huge loss. Not only for his bat, but just his presence in the leadoff spot.
Time to move money Mike to the 1 hole. The pitching hasn't been THAT bad. History shows that 2 strong starters and a strong bullpen can carry you in the playoffs.

I thought the Braves needed another starter before Acuña got hurt, and I still feel that way. I'm not sure Duval can play 120 games, and it will become an issue, but pitching wins championships.
Missing Eddie Rosario right now. Wonder if Pillar is available.

Riley, Olson, & Ozuna are more than capable of carrying this offense. Money is the key at the top of the lineup. He shouldve been in the 2 hole already this season. He's a contact hitter that can steal bases. He's the key moving forward. Will Snit figure it out? Probably not.

Harris
Ozzie
Riley
Olson
Ozuna
Catcher
Arcia
Duval
Kelenic

That's how I see it. As long as Harris is swinging the bat well, Kelenic should see a lot of pitches to hit. Acuña's injury may be the shot in the arm this team needed, as bad as that sounds. 2 knee surgeries suck. He's probably a clean-up DH type moving forward. 26 years old. You hate it for the guy.
