Not opposed to the Nashville Sounds stadium.

Great venue, plenty of parking and the basketball tourney is already here.

Centrally located and nice upgraded airport.

Boomers don't give a crap about walkability, airports, and downtown life, they like going to Hoover and chilling in their RV.

The younger generation that wants to change all of this, in general, doesn't even go to the tournament.

Especially the Aggie contingent.

First Horizon Park - Nashville, TN - 10,000
One of the more centralized locations in a great city.

About 5 miles outside of Tupelo is the geographic center of the 2025 SEC. Trust me , bro.

I actually did the math.

Jk, I plugged all of the locations into a web calculator that did it for me.

The Citadel is next door to the Joe. Plenty of parking for RVs.

There is literally an RV Park outside the Hoover Met. It fills up every year. People have been there since middle of last week.

Dickey Stephens in LR is a nice park.... Would basically be a home game for the Hogs though.

Been to Hoover and enjoyed it. I do think it is time to find a new home or rotate it between 3-5 locations.

Once Texas and Oklahoma join the league next year, there are a number of major league ballparks in the SEC footprint.
- Busch Stadium
- Minute Maid Park
- Truist Park
- Tropicana Field
- Globe Life Field

These AAA ballparks...

- 121 Financial Ballpark (Jacksonville, FL)
- AutoZone Park (Memphis, TN)
- Coolray Field (Lawrenceville, GA)
- First Horizon Park (Nashville, TN)
- Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (Oklahoma City, OK)
- Constellation Field (Sugar Land, TX)
- Dell Diamond (Round Rock, TX)

These AA ballparks (capacity of 10k+)
- Hammon Field (Springfield, MO)
- Riders Field (Frisco, TX)

A ballparks (capacity of 10k+)
- George M. Steinbrenner Field (Tampa, FL)

Yeah there is ZERO parking around Regions Park. It's a joke...especially during a work day.

God forbid that fat asses have to actually walk.

Southerners are such lazy sacks of shite.

I don't think it's a matter of being lazy. It's that there legitimately is not enough parking anywhere in proximity to that stadium. I'm not talking parking right next to it. I'm talking anywhere close. There's also not much public transportation to speak of. Couple that with lots of the games being played during the work day when UAB is eating up what little parking there is, and it's a disaster.

The Met is bland and is probably on its last leg hosting it as things stand, but honestly I could see Hoover throwing a shite ton of money into it to totally revamp it and make it better. We'll see what happens.

Retired rich people with RV’s can spend a week in Hoover while younger people still have to work. Who knew. I’m a boomer but the tournament should consider all ages being able to attend and rotate the location for different fan bases accessibility.

As a stadium by itself, I think there are a lot better options than the Met, but once the total package is evaluated Hoover wins hands down for the SEC to have its conference tournament.

I strongly suggest you walk around Birmingham after dark by yourself. Bessemer is just a handful of miles away from the MET, right up hwy 150, and there is plenty of free parking there. You should totally park there and teach all the fat asses a lesson.
