re: Fence post

I’d imagine you’d need a bigger hole and more concrete too. Seems like a bigger pain the arse, but I suppose it depends on how much fence. ...

re: Live Oaks shedding leaves

I have one giant live oak and I swear this year there is double the amount of leaves on the ground. Not sure if it’s been more windy so they just all dropped at once or what. ...

Indeed. Although we’re finishing up a major inside renovation now, so the numbers seem reasonable by comparison. ...

Patio Plans

Posted by Macho Fern on 3/13/21 at 9:38 am
I’m circling an outside renovation to be done in the next year (hopefully). Might need to phase it depending on cost but it will involve pouring a new patio, patio roof, and a carport. Does anyone have a recommendation on someone to help with plans? And approximate cost? ...

re: Citrus trees after the freeze

Orange tree dropped most of its leaves but bark was still green on my most recent check. I piled up the trunk with straw and leaves during the freeze, so it should have made it okay. But during the last big Freeze event we lost a year of production and a couple branches. It’s a big, old tree. ...

So in BR, I have an attached garage, Heated room above and adjacent, where I am storing new appliances during a kitchen renovation. These are packed and never used oven/range, fridge, dishwasher. The garage itself isn’t climate controlled but due to the attached rooms being heated there is some temp...

re: Conley as Trade Target

Yeah, that’s a negative for me. It just seems interesting to me that AD opting back in, even if it’s just for one more year, gives you a window where you have a tier 1 talent on a tier 3 salary (Zion). Seems like an opportunity ...

re: Conley as Trade Target

It definitely is, but it’s only two years, and would match up with AD giving the Pels one more year to see how it goes. Assuming it didn’t work out and AD still wants out at the end of next year, you’d trade AD and have Conley as an expiring in 20/21. Obviously none of this will happen, but it s...

re: Conley as Trade Target

Can you combine Pels expirings with a Randle sign and trade? It just seems like having a player like Zion on an artificially low contract is something to exploit, if it’s possible without sacrificing the 2 plus year future...

Conley as Trade Target

Posted by Macho Fern on 5/17/19 at 10:21 am
Thinking about the potential for AD to opt in for one more year, is there any way the Pels could acquire Mike Conley? I don’t know the rules for salary matching and such to even know if it’s possible, but would a base of Conley-Jrue-AD-Zion be a contender next year? Without going too deep on it, ...

re: Good sides to serve with steak

I recently had artichoke as a side with steak. I boiled it in seasoned water, but steaming would probably work better. Dipped the petals in a butter/lemon juice mixture. Not too bad....
