re: Soil test results

Thanks! So, seems like everyone agrees I should "lime" first. Is that just one big application of the 400 lbs of lime and then wait to do anything else until....when? And, this lime that I found out I can buy from a co-op, do I need to worry about my dogs getting in this stuff on the ground? ...
6000 sq ft yard divides in 60 100 sq ft portions. 60×6.88 = 412.8 pounds of lime.
Sorry, math is not my strong suit. I added a 0 in there.
It's pretty easy, but you actually need to buy a fricking calculator.
Feel better about yourself now, a-hole?...
1st step I’d start to tackle is the lime. 6.88lbs per 100 sq ft means your super acidic (5.13 ph). That will take a few months to start working.
Can I do that now? At 6.88/100sq ft, I'd be at 4,000lbs of lime!!!! Could that be right???? That seems insane to me! (by the w...

So, the results are in: I am admittedly no good with this kind of stuff. Please excuse my ignorance. I've got about 6,000 sq ft of area I would have to cover. Think I could go ride out to one of these co-ops and grab these things or is this someth...

Blackstone to natural gas?

Posted by OneAyedJack on 7/10/23 at 7:02 pm
I'm thinking of purchasing a 4 burner Blackstone this weekend. When I built my house, the plumber stubbed out a natural gas pipe under my porch for future outdoor kitchen possibilities. It's a black, natural gas pipe that's just capped. How difficult is it to convert a Blackstone to NG? C...

Burger Seasoning?

Posted by OneAyedJack on 7/10/23 at 12:24 pm
What are your go to burger seasonings? Simple salt/pepper? Garlic powders/onion powders? Mixture of them? Store bough pre-made seasonings? (If so, which ones) Do you season the meat, mix and then make patties? Or, do you make patties and season the outsides of your burger patties whilst c...
Do you know the type of Bermuda that was hydroseeded?
It was "dune" bermuda from a place called SiteOne....
Have you had your soil sampled?
I haven't. But, now I will. Thanks. ...
What exactly would you be mixing with your Bermuda?
Not sure. That's why I'm here. Don't really know grass.
If you seeded Bermuda, why not just go back with Bermuda seeds?
I figured the Bermuda didn't take to my soil for some reason. My soil is basically sol...
I built a house in 2020. Once it was completed, I had a company hydroseed Bermuda on the property. At the time, it was nothing but dirt. No other grass on the property at all. It's been 3 years and the grass is, well, crap. I still have complete bare spots and areas where there are more weeds...
