Texas A&M is 3-7 overall and not eligible for a bowl game. Who's to blame? Popular opinion would say Jimbo Fisher and leading the charge on that thought is ESPN's Paul Finebaum...
quote:

“Texas A&M can’t afford to fire him and they can’t afford not to fire him,” Finebaum said (first transcribed by Saturday Down South). “They hired him, in addition to everything else having won a national championship because he had a reputation as one of the best offensive minds in college football. His credibility is at the bottom. He’s easily done the worst coaching job of anyone in college football this year.”

Still at a loss as to how AD Bjork still has a job. He should be out on his arse.

Why?? Bjork didn’t give him that ridiculous contract.

I've just never understood this great offensive mind thing. Outside of 2013 it's at best been solid, at worst been astonishingy inept

I hope the Johnson family has had an incredible time watching their sons play for the Aggies this year.

The best job in the world is an ex-head major college football coach with a big buy-out. He is loudly applying for that position. I hope he gets it.

and we almost had him!

Not to take up for Jimbo but it seems he’s gone all in on that recruiting class. They play more freshman than any team in the sec. Jimbo didn’t just forget how to coach. I think he just kinda sold out

I hope Venables was his 1B. I wanted Aranda, instead we got a shitshow.

Well, he did let Perkins get away! Plus his offensive mind has been very offensive to his team...

“Texas A&M can’t afford to fire him and they can’t afford not to fire him." This sums why administrations are dumbasses for throwing a virtual blank check at "the big-name coach." It takes a very special kind of person to actually stay motivated to work hard when you know you're going to make millions of dollars for even a shitty job. Hell, I wish my job compensation worked like that.

Who were the administrators that threw the "virtual blank check" at him?

Well, his contract was signed by the president of TAMU along with their athletic director. Maybe start with those guys, and figure it out from there...

Players are getting paid now. It's time blame gets spread onto them too.

I wonder if the players who are "getting paid" are getting what they were promised. If not, that would create a bad locker room situation.
