Texas A&M Head coach Jimbo Fisher Reacts To Missing The Playoff.....
© Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports
After making his pitch to the College Football Playoff committee after Saturday's win against Tennessee, Texas A&M remained at #5 and missed the cut. Here was head coach Jimbo Fisher's reaction to not making the playoff....
quote:

“Well, we were disappointed that we weren’t in the top four but we understand this is all subjective and it’s your opinion on things and they had a process they went through,” Fisher told ESPN’s Kris Budden. “It is what it is and we’re getting ready to play a great Orange Bowl game and hopefully a very good team in North Carolina.”

Fisher expanded his response when asked about how his players reacted to the news.

“They’re disappointed,” Fisher said. “I mean, listen, you play your whole career, your whole life to have an opportunity like that. And we came up just a hair short but that just shows you we’ve got to do a little more work and get ready for the future. We’re branding this program in a very good way, we’re building this program in a very good way, the culture is becoming very good, we just gotta keep going forward.”
Texas A&M is scheduled to take on North Carolina in the 2020 Orange Bowl.

You. Are. Not. a top 4. Team! You're just not. I know you beat them in October, but Florida is actually a much better team.

First, try recruiting a QB Jimbo. Carolina is going to put up 50 on them.

Top 4 selected are not the top 4 team. OSU, ND should not be in the picture. OSU had the rules changed to get into the conf. champ. game and ND played no one....... Bring back the computers, people are blind to the real world

"Bring back the computers, people are blind to the real world".... good lord, don't you realize that the computers aren't all-knowing, they spit out whatever formula they're programmed with -- and that formula is determined by HUMANS. And that formula changes every year - sometimes margin of victory is included, sometimes not. Do you also bitch about the March Madness selection committee? I'd guess you don't, but why not?

I don't know that I'd say that ND didn't play anyone. It took them 2OT to squeak past Clemson without their star QB. We all know what happened when they faced Clemson full strength. They got in because of the ratings bump that would come from their appearance. ND can't stand up to top-tier SEC/Clemson teams. End of story.

It is funny to me that faggies old nemesis, Mack Brown, is going to stick it to them again

Notre Dame, once again, does not belong here. The Aggies have the top defense ion the SEC. They are clearly a top 4 team. Still, however, bla ha ha.

the committee didn’t want an Alabama-A&M rematch in the semis, so they took ND. But ND will get crushed, as always when they play real competition.

I actually thing the TV rating would decline significantly if A&M would've gotten in. They just aren't a national brand yet

They never will be a national brand. Lol.

Orgeron said when he became LSU HC permanently. If you want to win championships you have to beat Alabama...

ND is going to get waxed. Ironically still never having been a conference champion.
