The comments in that twitter feed are comedy gold. Bunch of damn snowflakes acting like grabbing his facemask was akin to beating him with a bat. Dude was continuing to press the issue when Jimbo grabbed him and got his attention. Add to it, the kid is wearing $500 worth of safety gear.

If Morris would start doing some of this after all the ineptitude displayed by Special Teams and our OL play, my respect level for him would go up immensely. The Pussification of America is why this is even a topic... I swear sometimes food is being engineered to lower testosterone levels.

This is not a Meltdown. Dodson's apology says it all: "An amazing Coach who will have my back no matter what." Fisher, 1 of only 4 active NC Coaches, teaches that West Virginia/ Bowden/ Fisher/ Saban NC-proven process that everything you do on and off the field is important to your success. ___"I told him 'I need you partner' If we are going to win this game. Focus, learn to put your pride away, do your job, and go to the sideline. It's an emotional game, but you've got to play intelligently. You got to play to win. That's one of our team leaders. That's a guy we count on for everything, make calls, do everything. That guy is critical. He cannot be pushing and shoving, getting in a fight, doing dumb things and get thrown out of the the game." ____ Call it coaching, caring, mentoring, motivating, and counseling. When there is no 'on & off field Process' you get real Meltdowns - Calls to parents at 2 AM informing them you got yourself jailed or shot, off campus, miles away, when you told them a few hours earlier that you were in your dorm studying.

I couldn’t agree more. Disciplined the kid, that’s it. This isn’t news worthy.

Poor kid...he’ll probably need a therapy peacock to help him get through the rest of life.

Jimbo having a flashback to when he threatened the 12 year old girl. He told her "come down here and say that" after FSU lost to Syracuse at home. She would have whooped that arse - she was pissed. Jimbo taking it out on someone that can't hit him back - Pretty smart on his part.

What’s the problem lol ? I remember my coach smacking the frick out of my helmet or hitting us with a giant wooden paddle and this was 11-12 year old rec ball .

So many pussies out there these days for something like this to even get ink. Back in the day, and I just mean the late 80s into the 90s, this was the norm. Lord help us.

No fan of Jimbo but if you've never had a coach do that to you you probably never played football.

It’s ATM’s version of the turnover chain/throne/pimp cane/ etc. Do something stupid and you have something waiting for you on the sideline. I’ll allow it.

Leadership by example. I can grab players by the facemask in anger, but you can't?

The fact that this is getting so much attention is further proof that the pussification of America is real.

Yep...that was common even in youth football back in the 70s and 80s and political correctness hit.

Exactly. We call these college players kids, but in all actuality they are adults that can leave if they don't like it.

I don't even like Jimbo. But if he had allowed things to escalate into an all out brawl, kids could have gotten hurt. Jimbo did the right thing.

Concussions? NFL players don't get concussions.
