Head coach Jeremy Pruitt Compares Tennessee Football To The Titanic...
Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports
I think there might be better analogies out there, but Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt is trying to put a spin on how bad things are in Vols football land...
quote:

“I think ‘Titanic’ came out maybe when I was in college,” Pruitt said to the Knoxville Quarterback Club on Monday. “When the boat starts going down, remember all the mice running to the top, right? We have had a few that left our program, but you will figure out who wants to be a Tennessee Vol and who don’t.

“I can tell you this: I want to. I know the standards and expectations that we have and the men on our staff and the character that we have. You will see the best of the players at Tennessee throughout the year.”

It's always a good sign when your head coach compares his program to one of the most notable disasters in history.

Yeah, they've already hit two icebergs: Georgia State and BYU

Appropriate because they have been continually rearranging deck chairs in Knoxville since firing Fulmer.

Does that make Georgia State the iceberg?

One day people will start using the Tennessee football program as an analogy.

So Derek Dooley compares Tennessee football to Nazi Germany, Butch Jones compares Tennessee football to a Milton Bradley board game, and Jeremy Pruitt compares Tennessee football to the Titanic. Wow, Tennessee head coaches don't think much of that program, do they???

Probably a very accurate comparison by a very intellectually challenged individual. Proot's just not very smart........at all.

If you remember it was the Captin of the ship who ran the titanic into the iceburg. I dont know if it was Phillip Fulmer or Jermey Pruitt who is driving the boat though.

Actually if the movie is to be believed, it was the Captain's subordinate officers who steered the Titanic into the iceberg. The Captain was in his quarters, getting some rest...
