He explained it today and it actually made sense. He said that as a man and competitor, he would never just admit defeat and say that someone is better than them, even if they are the est player that has ever lived. Oh and btw mj called him today just to mess with him about it. It was not a slight to mj in any way. More of a display of competitiveness and showing that he wouldn't back down from the goat

It is the equivalent of a very good high school player saying he would beat Tiger Woods in golf, head up, in his prime!

And if you know the kid, you should be taking this opportunity to put his arse back in reality and make him know how disrespectful and ignorant that comment is. This is exactly what makes these kids let others tell them they are better than they really are.

@lsusaint I'm not really sure how you can really call someone out for "lack of respect" over some 18 year old kid being confident in his abilities. You have likely never met andrew but it is his personality to be incredible confident and this attitude has helped him develop these years. Yes it was a stupid interview question but would you rather everybody just suck up to mj and praise him? Andrew and mj have know each other for over 4 years and this was not a sign of disrespect at all.

Playing 1 on 1 is a whole different ball game than team basketball.

Just because Jordan is one of the greatest in the NBA doesn't mean he can beat everybody 1 on 1. Can these guys beat him? I've never seen them play 1 on 1, so I can't say.

I think there is a difference between showing confidence and showing lack of respect. I don't see anything disrespectful in what they are saying. If they think they can beat MJ good for them. One of them even said that he would pray MJ misses.They also uses the word "I think" they never said they would. IT's just some kids being kids. Give em a brk.

I wonder if they are talking about on XBOX or PS3, b/c the controls are different on each, and it could be a factor if they confuse the block button with dive out of bounds button.

Just goes to show how these idiot teenagers feel like they are the only things that matter. They are raised without respect and therefore are unable to recognize they might not even score against the greatest players to ever walk the Earth.
