Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
Hey, Bo knows. If your Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, I guess there's no one better to get advice from than Bo Jackson. Here's what the former Auburn RB, Heisman Trophy winner, former MLB player and NFL player told him....

He would be better off dropping to the bottom of the first round. The teams that pick in the top ten are there because they sucked.

He has to go. Right now he's thinking too much about the upside of coming back, shining, and climbing back to the top of the board. But the downside is much worse. Another injury aside, what if he doesn't perform the way he's used to? He's already going to lose most of his receivers. He probably won't be as mobile. If it becomes clear next year that his ability has gone downhill, he could end up sliding way down the board. If I was him, you have to take what's there now. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

Yeah, he’s got to grab the brass ring now. Get drafted in a lower round and play your way into a more lucrative second contract.

Even if he doesn't declare for the draft, there's pretty much zero chance he plays at Alabama next year. He would spend the year doing rehab and holding the clipboard, hoping to shine at the 2021 combine or in private workouts.

Dropping down can be a blessing in disguise. Sure you lose money on the front end, but finding yourself in a position for success is much better long term.

Saban's desperately trying to hang onto as many of these players as possible. He told them that only Tua had a Top 15 grade. I thought the general rule was you declare if you get a 1st Round grade? 68 year-old Saban desperately wants to ride off into the sunset with one more national title than the Bear, and he knows he needs these Juniors to come back in order to do that.
