This Columnist Thinks It’s Time For Lane Kiffin To Return To The SEC
Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports
Tennessee? Check. Alabama? Check. Arkansas?...Why not? FAU head coach Lane Kiffin has had his fair share of SEC experience, but according to USA Today‘s Dan Wolken, it's time for him return to the Southeastern Conference. This comes after Lane had "significant conversations" with Arkansas last weekend...
quote:

“But time and success changes a lot of preconceived notions, particularly in a coaching market that isn’t exactly teeming with high-profile prospects. There are a lot of solid coaches out there that a program like Arkansas could hire from (Tulane’s Willie) Fritz to Louisiana-Lafayette’s Billy Napier to Louisiana Tech’s Skip Holtz. But none of them are going to create the kind of buzz and have the upside of Kiffin, who could win his second C-USA title in three years this weekend.

“It’s fairly remarkable to think that Kiffin, even as long as he’s been around the college football zeitgeist, is only 44 years old and still not necessarily in the prime of his career.

“Is it a risk for Arkansas to hand the keys to someone as unpredictable as Kiffin, who is prone to wandering off the reservation at times and tweeting a meme about blind refs after a game? Sure it is. But if you’re Arkansas and you haven’t been relevant at all for most of this decade, what do you really have to lose?”
Do you think Kiffin is the answer for the Razorbacks?

Kiffin doesn't want to go to a place where picking bitches up on a motorcycle is frowned upon. Plus ole miss has prettier girls

School like Arkie needs to skip the flash and find a young, up and comer from a Group of 5 school; pay a modest salary (by SEC standards, say $1 mil) with big incentive bonuses for winning the division, the SEC, and the natty (say $5, $10, and $20 mil respectively), and let him coach his heart out. You might have to renegotiate after 4 or 5 years or let him move on for a better offer, but that would be because he won.
