Vanderbilt quarterback Stephen Rivers announced that he's been granted his release from the school and will transfer to another university to finish his final year of eligibility. Per ESPN.com:

The younger brother of Philip Rivers of the NFL's San Diego Chargers, the 6-foot-7 Rivers transferred to Vanderbilt this past summer after graduating from LSU in May. He started one game and played in three others, going 25-of-63 for 334 yards.
