Peter Burns of the SEC Network sent out an interesting tweet Tuesday about the many similarities between this current Tennessee team and the 2019 LSU squad that went undefeated and won the National Championship.

What do you think?

The offense is not comparable, not the same level of throws and depth of offense. Not remotely close. Defensively LSU only struggled where suspensions and injuries impacted the games. When they got people back it was 50/7, 37-10 (UGA), 63-28 and 42-25. All arse whippings against great offense and defenses except T8&4.

They're not even the best team in the SEC in 2022, and you want to equate them to the best college football team of ALL TIME??!....okay, sure buddy.

They’re a great team for sure but not as good as 2019. Our schedule was tougher and our D was better. Plus the season Joey B had.

A very good team, but I wouldn’t go that far. Perhaps more like 2014 Ohio State.
