Prescott and the Bulldogs started strong this season, and he led them to their first No. 1 ranking in the polls in school history and their first 10-win season since 1999. However, the second half of the season was up and down, and the Bulldogs had three losses in their final four games.

Prescott, a one-time Heisman Trophy front-runner, ended up eighth in Heisman balloting with two first-place votes.
