Sports Illustrated is reporting that Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp has agreed to become the next head coach at South Carolina.
quote:

Muschamp would return to a head-coaching role after one season coaching Auburn’s defense. Under Muschamp, the Tigers improved their yards allowed per play from 5.7 to 5.5 and held opponents to 21 points or fewer five times but went a disappointing 6–6 this season.
Muschamp will replace Steve Spurrier who went 86–49 during his 11 seasons at South Carolina.

An introductory news conference is planned for Monday.
