Raiders WR Amari Cooper Thinks SEC DBs Just As Talented As NFL Players
Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports
Former Alabama player and current Raiders WR Amari Cooper was on Sirius XM Radio with Gil Brandt on Sunday where and he shared his opinions on the talent levels of SEC defensive backs as compared to NFL defensive backs...
quote:

"Overall guys are better, but overall guys are smarter," Cooper told NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt during a Sunday interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "And that's the biggest thing: Guys are smarter. The talent level, to me, probably is about the same coming from the SEC. But they're smarter, so it makes them better."
Not surprising.

Makes sense. Guys at 18-22 are gonna be a little lighter and quicker than guys especially 25+ years age. NFL guys dont blow coverages often though

Makes me feel good that the one who shut him down in college is still on the Razorback roster.

he played against 19 DBs while in college (not counting those on his team at practice) who are now in the NFL, so he likely has a good frame of reference.

I don't disagree. Maybe not every single 1 of them but overall, yea, he's probably right.
