Multiple sources are reporting that Ole Miss freshman wide receiver Sammie Epps was arrested by Oxford Police on Friday. Per The Clarion-Ledger:

Epps was stopped at 11 p.m. by the Oxford Police Department and brought to Lafayette County Detention Center on charges of driving without a license and marijuana possession inside a motor vehicle, according to the jail booking log.

"We are aware of the matter and will address it once we have gathered more facts," coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement.

Epps was released from jail that morning after posting bond, and was seen at Ole Miss' practice on Monday. Today's practice was closed to the media.
As a four-star prospect out of Greenwood High School, Epps was expected to play tight end at Ole Miss but was quickly moved to the slot receiver position once he arrived at Oxford.
