Sources tell us that Samford has begun the process of reaching out to candidates. We hear former head coach Pat Sullivan will be involved in the hiring decision and we have not heard it ruled out that defensive coordinator Billy D’Ottavio will be a candidate as many expect. We have heard of a small number of calls, including to Ole Miss co-offensive coordinator Matt Luke. Many also expect Bill Clark to consider the opportunity. We’ll keep you posted.
