The Ole Miss Rebels went into Bryant–Denny Stadium last Saturday and left with an impressive 43-37 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The win not only landed Ole Miss into College Football Playoff talks but vaulted the Rebels up to No. 3 in the latest AP Poll.

While the ranking is something players and fans are happy about, coach Hugh Freeze doesn't care about it. Per CBSSports.com:
quote:

"I've done two things: When the picks come out for who is going to represent the SEC in the bowl games or playoff, I took a piece of paper in front of our team and burned it. Then when we were ranked No. 3 in the country, I burned it yesterday," Freeze told Finebaum, via CoachingSearch. "It doesn't matter to me. It's great to get recognition, but we have a long way to go and a long season."
Ole Miss plays Vanderbilt on Saturday in Oxford.

With Ole Miss' history, at least it wasn't a cross they burned...

They will reel themselves in before the end of the season.

Yeah Swagger. 3 years of investigating yields holding a rental car too long. That's nothing compared to outright paying a player to come to your school (Cam Newton) or even selling your autographs for money and being caught on camera doing it (Johnny Manziel).

By the time the NCAA is finished with them, he'll have set the whole program on fire.
