I wasn't too far from this so I had a good view of the action. I think more damage was done by the beers and water bottles flying in and hitting people. There was a barrage of them flying in. Stadium beer is too expensive to throw and possibly hit "the bad guys".

I felt like fighting while playing in a football game. Never while watching one.

Mid to late 90s...there were plenty of fights in the student section. Almost every game. Including a whole section near the band ;) getting maced in 1995. Lots of girls got sprayed and carried out due to their dates brawling with squatters in a reserved section.
