LSU has hired Alabama linebacker coach Kevin Steele to be the teams new defensive coordinator. Per ESPN:

Steele, who was defensive coordinator at Clemson from 2009-11, takes over for John Chavis, who left for the same position at Texas A&M.

Before moving on the field to coach linebackers this season, Steele served as Alabama's director of player development in 2013, leading a recruiting operation that hauled in the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to ESPN.
