No assistant of Saban has proven they can do it in the last 14 years Saban has been at Bama. Lane Kiffin has come the closest. Jimbo's teams have looked lethargic at best vs. Saban's.

I wonder if people will ever realize that the Saban coaching tree isn't as great as people think. He takes it easy on his ex assistants so they don't get fired and he knows it's a sure win when he plays them. Despite the fantastic talent that Smart has assembled at Georgia, it can't overcome his mediocre coaching ability
