Last week, Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel returned to practice for the first time since he broke his lower right leg on Sept. 21 against Tennessee. Although he is a little rusty, coach Will Muschamp says that Driskel is distancing himself from the other quarterbacks during spring practices. Per the
Orlando Sentinel,quote:
"Those guys will continue to split reps and Jeff has certainly distanced himself at this point," Muschamp said Tuesday. "But those guys have done some nice things at times. Jeff’s been through change before, so I think the more times you go through that stuff you kind of can handle it and move forward, the maturity takes over."
Driskel is 12-3 as the starting QB for the Gators. After Driskel is redshirt sophomore Skyler Mornhinweg, who started the final three games in 2013. Highly recruited freshman Will Grier enrolled in January.
