I'm for it if the coaches can still only sign so many and not take a lesser players scholly away if someone better signs.

If the coaches don't keep promises, why should players lose the leverage? An early signing period would help tremendously.

I think it would make sense. When a player is ready to sign, he can sign. It would eliminate a lot (or at least some) of the absurd nonsense that goes on.

So he can tell a RB hes not going to add another one, then that player signs, then he changes his mind and adds another one. Well the first RB should be able to change his mind also. Im sure there are employers out there that sometimes wish employees couldnt quit for better jobs, but that they could still fire them anytime they want. Sorry you gotta see it from both sides.

I think the point is to limit the whole production. Once a player is ready he should be allowed to sign.

Freeze first he signs, then the ca$h changes hands. ??
