Nashville is 2 seconds from Georgia and I imagine cheap tickets were not hard to come by.

This was more of an anomaly. First game of the season on a three day weekend. Nashville is a great town and a lot of us made it a mini vacation. If the game was played in October like it usually is, you wouldn't see this many fans.

When your last and only NC was 39 years ago a win over vandy is a big deal...think of all the $ they have saved going to non major bowls (unlike UF, UA, Auburn LSU etc) over the past 36 years...without H Walker they are basically Miss St in football
