Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy has been named the league's top rookie by the Professional Football Writers of America. Lacy was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with 61st overall pick and finished the season with 1178 rushing yards and 11 TD's.
There is a very good chance that Lacy could also be named the AP rookie of the year, which is the NFL's official honor. That will be announced Feb. 1, the eve of the Super Bowl.
