Being the drill sergeant is the job of the position coach or his assistant. When the head coach lowers himself like that - he's demeaning himself and the entire program. McElwain appears weak, childish and unable to control his emotions. Screaming into someone's face is not leadership.

He made a point and it won't happen again . It also sent a message to the team, stupid actions will not happen without a price to be paid.
Champ put up with that kind of thing, Mac will not.

Really? You think so? I mean, recruits have seen Saban doing that for years and it hasn't seemed to impact his recruiting.
