Multiple sources are reporting that Florida defensive line coach Sal Sunseri is leaving Dan Mullen's staff for the same job at Alabama. Per Gator Country:
quote:

This will not be Sunseri’s first time coaching with Nick Saban. The veteran defensive coach was an assistant head coach/linebackers coach from 2009-2011. Sunseri has more than 35 years experience at both the NFL and collegiate levels coaching. He spent just one season coaching defensive line at Florida. Sunseri spent the previous three seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
Sunseri's son and former Alabama safety Vinnie also joined the Crimson Tide staff this week as a graduate assistant.

Funny story. I have no doubt in my mind he departed Saban and the LSU staff under very bitter terms in 2000 (Saban's first year). I pull up at Ruby Tuesday on College the day I hear this story and he, his wife, and kids are all decked out in Michigan State gear - he was leaving for Bobby WIlliams staff.

This guy won’t make it through next season before suffering from health problems. That big gut, puffy face, and the job stress...Just making an observation and I hope I’m wrong.

Was a shame Vinnie never panned out. Seems like he had a good understanding of the game, just didn't have the physical tools to make it in the NFL.
