Clemson Responds To SEC Interest Rumors

Clemson will never have an undefeated schedule again if they leave the ACC for the SEC meaning no more shots at the national championship. They will never leave their easy and pathetic schedule.

Clemson should have second and third thoughts about trading Duke, Wake Forrest, Syracuse, and Pitt for Bama, LSU, Georgia, and Florida.

The discussions between the SEC and OU/UT were also denied by OU and Texas. It wasn't candid but it wasn't a lie either as the negotiations were handled by people above the ADs. The ACC is tied up in a TV contract until about 2034 and they are falling further behind in tv revenue. The money will nearly be doubled if Clemson and FSU join the SEC. Having said that, Florida has more weight to push around as long as they have been in the SEC. Due to legal reasons legal reasons lawyers are likely feeding FSU and Clemson their proper responses. I'm not suggesting I know something other than money is extremely relevant here. The SEC is going to buy armored trucks to deliver TV contract plus multiple playoff and bowl game revenue to the schools of the SEC. It is time for many schools to realize the SEC and Big10 are going to pay significantly better than other conferences. I'm not excited about the many changes during my life but I am glad OU looked to the future and acted accordingly.

18 teams: two conference divisions of 9 teams: 8 games in-division: 2 games out of division: 2 games against non-conference doesn't leave much room for padding the schedule with rent-a-wins. Wouldn't see many (if any) games by SEC teams against other Power 5 teams.

Florida and South Carolina would put up a fight over this. There’s no SEC team in Oklahoma to push back against OU and A&M has no power to keep Texas out.

Would prefer over OU and Texas.

By the way, Clemson is a way better fit in the SEC than Texas or Oklahoma. Give me Clemson and take Missouri!
