CBS will not be allowed to broadcast the 2014 Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn in Bryant-Denny Stadium this year as the network has exhausted the number of appearances (5) for Alabama this season.

Alabama's games against Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, LSU and Mississippi State this season will all have been broadcasted on CBS. The network announced Monday that they will air the Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State on Saturday November 29th instead.

This will be the first Egg Bowl on network TV since 1964, according to The Clarion-Ledger.

Auburn and Alabama will play on Saturday November 29th at 7:45pm on ESPN.

I see a real meltdown for Verne and Gary. They must be heart-broken. I wonder if Tom Ritter will get this game? He needs to make sure he follows the SEC office rules and get the boys from Bama in the final 4.
