Arkansas coach Bret Bielema took some time from National Signing Day to talk to ESPN. During that conversation he took a little shot at the recruiting tactics of Florida and Ole Miss...

quote:

“Florida is kind of the new Ole Miss,” “They’re doing some things recruiting that kind of shocks you a little bit.”

What no one is reporting here is that Bert and Freeze are good friends, so I seriously doubt that he was accusing anyone of cheating.

Bert is shocked as the ESPN cutbacks mean no more craft services. Bert no longer finna eat on ESPN's dime.

Bert was probably shocked Florida flipped Putu, and that's what led to him making that comment. Ole Miss has been shocking people in recruiting lately, landing elite classes.

Bielema says earlier comments meant "Florida is everywhere" in recruiting. He called McElwain/Freeze to clarify that it was compliment

Hugh Freeze just told SI’s Signing Day show that Bret Bielema called him and said his earlier comments were meant to compliment Ole Miss

What the hell is "kind of shocks you"? Either something shocks you, or it doesn't. There is no "kind of" or gray area here.
