Everyone hates Texas and we are inviting that poison into SEC. Awful decision.

That will change....in about 5 years the hate will turn to irrelevant. Texas will be a Whipping Post in the SEC!

I’m sure it’ll change over time, but Texas and OU aren’t SEC enough just yet for me to have their back when someone from another conf. goes after them. At the same time, Baylor sounds like a pissy ex wife when she sees the new girlfriend for the first time and she tells all of her friends how ugly the new girl is even though she’s probably hot as shite.

I think he is spot on. Texas believes they are too good to lose to the likes of TCU, Baylor and others. So what do they do, move to a league that gives them higher quality losses. No shame to lose to Bama, LSU, GA, etc. Texas is so full of themselves they don't know which direction to go.

You are aware that the University of Texas has a plethora of sports where they consistently excel at elite levels. In terms of football alone, I believe Steve Sarkisian will turn that program around and they will be doing well in a couple of years.

you're so clueless. wins and losses aren't what matters. It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$. when are you people going to realize?

And football alone drives those $$$, not the plethora of sports that they consistently excel at elite levels as @HGG mentions.

Baylor shouldn't really be saying anything with all the shite that's happened at their school.

Baylor shouldn’t say anything. The Art Briles, player rape situation a few years ago should be shameful enough for them to shut their mouths for a decade.

You mean the one where every single person involved was terminated all the way up to the President? Baylor handled that situation as well as possible. Now, try LSU and see how they are handling their own issues.

@CDawson ... they didn't do anything until it was in the public eye and they were FORCED to. They covered it up for as long as they could and had coaches and faculty and even the Waco police involved. Once the report was completed and made public, their hand was forced. I'm not giving Baylor an ounce of credit for handling that situation correctly. I have close family that are proud Baylor alums that were disgusted and embarrassed of their school during that mess.

@SeanLSU and every single one of those involved was terminated and is no longer there. The corrupt were sent packing, I am not sure what more the new regime can do. I also have Baylor Alum in my family and do not condone what happened there but to say those in leadership now are somehow responsible for the misdeeds of past generations is akin to those that believe me and my kids are somehow responsible for the sins of past relatives or colleagues.

Texas always has been a cancer on anyone in a conference with them They run it all and ruin it all Way back Arkansas left SWC because of UT Then UT broke up SWC to go with Big 8 but A&M, Tx Tech and Baylor forced the issue and went too making it Big 12 Since Big 12 formed Colorado, Missouri, A&M and Nebraska left over UT and its Longhorn Network etc Now the MFers go to SEC with OU leaving 8 strong P5s in cold UT hasn’t won shite in football in about 10 years since Brown left. Perennial underachievers more than any school in country with perennial top 5-10 recruiting classes. Can’t win conference either in men’s/women’s basketball! Just had decent season in baseball 1st time in God knows when! Only thing they win noticeably is swim/dive but who cares! OU and Baylor are too 2 in Big 12 conference championships by long shot FYI Again, SEC got a cancer getting UT And Austin is California of Texas and it ain’t even close. Whoever in SEC made this decision has money from a few bagmen 100%! SEC got screwed If OU was smart they’d let UT go and fall back on their SEC pledge to Big 12 getting divorced from UT cancer. Best thing they could do
