Arch Manning Reportedly 'Loves' Georgia
© Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
While we continue to play "Where will Arch Manning Land?"...Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, says he walked away from his recent Georgia visit loving it...
quote:

“Well, he loves Georgia,” Wiltfong said, via 247Sports. “I think that he had a fantastic visit there this summer, likes the pro-style offense that (coordinator and quarterbacks) coach (Todd) Monken runs, and told me that Athens is the best college town he’s been to. And then you go to a game on Saturday night against South Carolina, and the fans, the student section obviously made him feel welcome. I was talking a little bit to the family after the trip, they just reiterated what a great town it is at Georgia. And close relationship with (offensive line coach) Matt Luke, Matt Luke obviously the former head coach at Ole Miss where Arch’s family has so many ties. So they know coach Luke, (head coach) Kirby Smart played against Peyton Manning. They’ve known Kirby for a long time. There’s just a lot of connections there that the Manning family has with the Georgia staff, and I think Georgia’s in a terrific position to land Arch but it’s still early in his process and he’s going to take some other visits this fall and just continue to see what he likes.”
He still has four more official visits lined up this fall: Alabama on Oct. 2, Texas on Oct. 16, Ole Miss on Oct. 23 and Clemson on Oct. 30.

yeah, well good for him, Georgia has been in need of a top QB for some time now, and he seems like a good fit. I just don't see him at LSU with the Walker kid already committed there. He needs to carve out his own future imo anyways and not follow the family in going to a Ole Miss or Tennessee. Do your own thing young man!

yeah, it is, I been to the campus a few times, it's not far from beautiful Master's golf course. I lived in the Atl for a minute and it is a beautiful green state. As nice hills, green lands and all, just a nice state.

I find it really strange that this family has little interest in their home state SEC school. I kow Archie is from miss but he's lived the majority of his life now in Louisiana And his sons were born and raised here. But for whatever reason I don't think they are proud to be from here. Why don't they love Louisiana?

Because it’s Louisiana. Ranked last in everything good, and first in everything bad.

It is very uncommon for kids at his high school to stay in state for college. A very high majority go out of state.

The Mannings really hate Louisiana for some reason
user avatar

I’m not sure they hate LA…. I’m thinking it’s more they want to get away a little and see what the rest of the country has to offer.

Archie grew up listening to UM/LSU games on the radio, at his grandfather's knee. In that day and age, the rivalry and hate were real. Archie grew up hating LSU. No Manning will ever be a Tiger.

Because LSU beat Grandpa to a pulp, and then the Saints OL let him get beat to a pulp. They just want to run from the arse whuppings, beside Walker Howard will be running that show.

The fans acknowledged the #1 recruit/QB at a football game and made him feel welcomed. Cutting edge stuff there and a nice pick up by the writer. Other teams need to take note of this strategy bc it seems to be the key to Georgia’s recent recruiting success w/nothing else involved. It’s finally their time.

And Georgia pays twice as much for recruiting purposes as any team in the country but so far no returns on their spending.
