After a dominating performance against Wisconsin in week 1, Alabama sophomore running back Derrick Henry was named the Maxwell Award Player of the week. Per NBCSports.com:

Thursday, the prestigious Maxwell Award announced that Henry has been named as its Player of the Week for his performance in the Saturday night win over Wisconsin. In the convincing 35-17 win, Henry rushed for 147 yards — on just 13 carries — and scored three touchdowns, two of which came in the second half as the Tide pulled away from the Badgers.
Expect Henry to run loose even more so when Alabama plays Middle Tennessee this Saturday.
