The Crimson Tide announced Thursday that it would play host to Fresno State on Sept. 9, 2017 in the first-ever meeting between the Bulldogs and Tide. Alabama last played a Mountain West opponent in 2013, when it defeated Colorado State 31-6.
Reports surfaced earlier this month that Alabama plans to open the 2017 season against Florida State, but that has not been confirmed yet.
