quote:Lupoi denied the allegations and was absolved of wrongdoing after a six-week NCAA investigation. Washington paid Lupoi a $300,000 mutual separation buyout.
Lupoi visited Alabama's football campus recently and could wind up in the team's personnel department, though his exact position is still unclear. He won't be a position coach.
Lupoi was an assistant at Cal and Washington for six seasons and was reportedly set to join Steve Sarkisian at USC before a Los Angeles Times report surfaced that Lupoi allegedly paid $4,500 for a recruit's tutoring through a local high school track coach.
