On Monday, rumors began to surface that Alabama top candidate to replace Anthony Grant as the Crimson Tide's next basketball coach is Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall.

Marshall was on Jim Rome's national CBS Sports radio program on Tuesday and said that he would listen to the Alabama offer after the season, according to AL.com:
quote:

"If Alabama's still interested in talking to us with some type of crazy offer, at that time, we will certainly entertain that," Marshall said. "But it's going to take some type of crazy offer to get us to leave Wichita State.

"It's something that we deal with every spring, but I wouldn't take it any other way because that means nobody really covets you or wants you and that's not very good in this business."
Marshall currently makes $1.8 million a year under his current contract at Wichita State.
