Per SEC Sports: Trailing 2-1 and down to its final six outs, Ole Miss rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Oklahoma, 4-2, and win the program's first national championship on Sunday at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

The win was the second in as many days for the Rebels over the Sooners and closed out the best-of-three Men's College World Series championship series, 2-0.

TJ McCants, who had a big home run in Game 1 of the series, started Sunday's game-winning comeback rally with a one-out single to center in the eighth. Justin Bench followed with another single, and McCants moved to third. Then Jacob Gonzalez, who earlier had homered to produce to that point the only run of the game for Ole Miss, delivered another big blow with an RBI sginle that scored McCants and sent Bench scampering to third, tying the game 2-2.
