Seems like a home-heavy schedule. Corbin normally gives us a horror show early in the season to serve as a trial-by-fire. Let's goooooo!

It looks like Corbin has learned his lesson and has the big trip out West in March rather than February. Gives the team a chance to warm-up with real gametime before going up against the West Coast juggernauts. Having LSU, USCe, and UK at home are huge this year, especially with having to travel to Miss State. Combined with playing away against LBSU, USCw, and UCLA, this is a tough schedule. Hell, even Duke is ranked preseason.

Tough schedule with 6 OOC games against Top 25 teams before conference play. Can't wait.

Our stadium won't be complete for this year.

Will only hold 9,000; but, still plenty of room for visiting fans.

Welcome.

Hopefully, the weather will oblige.

Anyone listen to Corbin's podcast episode with Chris Lee? We may have the infield locked up but not the Friday/Saturday starters. It'll be an interesting start to the season.

I'm just glad he's moved Jones to the outfield. Hopefully he'll be ok patrolling left.

Agreed. He's got the speed, but I don't think he could handle the sudden change of pace from high school to college play in the infield. Hopefully, being in left will give him more of a margin of error, utilize his speed effectively both for his glove and bat, and keep his bat in the order.

Big first series win against a ranked opponent!

The freshmen looked incredible this series. Let's hope they can maintain and Infante can get his bat going. This team could be an offensive powerhouse. Pitching was good on Friday and Sunday. Fellows lost his rhythm, but Corbin knew when to pull him out. Day was shaky too, but put in a great performance. It was good to see Raby healthy enough to pitch a couple innings, but it sucked to see him take that loss. Still, a good start.

Very excited about several freshmen contributing right away. Huge boost for the team overall. The pitching depth is there but need the starters to solidify and step up.

A little concerned going into the away games next weekend about our starting rotation. I'll be much happier when Raby is back to his starting spot.

Same here. Even with Raby, the starting rotation will need to show something to avoid being the weak spot on the team.

Was there. No wind at all. Rained the entire game. Just some good swings by both teams.

Starting pitching hasn't been awful, but the offense just can't get timely hits. Infante has an awful case of the yips
