I thought he was already dismissed a month ago for the 3rd failed drug test? This might throw confusion into the bets.
What surprised me was the statement he was on track to graduate...

Well lets just assume Houston is off the team, my next guess is TJ Stripling/Dexter Morant
Morant has been gone...

Feb. 4th, '13...
Dexter Morant, who played sparingly in three seasons at Georgia, has left the university due to "academic considerations," according to UGA. Morant, an outside linebacker-defensive end, was one of the team's tallest players, at 6-foot-7, but was never able to stay healthy or play well enough in practice to crack the playing rotation. Only 8 of 19 left from the '10 class if you don't count Zander and Houston. And only 3 of the remaining 8 (Gates, Smith and Bennett) have been major contributors. Even Tree, we never got a full season out of him...

So as talented as Alec was, him and his brother both seem to be troubled young men. Duis...drugs...suspensions... neither will get a diploma from UGA. So Sad

Zander is on scholarship until he finishes his degree, so at least one of them will leave with a diploma. Alec can still comeback to complete school if he so chooses.

He was only on ship for one reason. That reason is gone.

Since you cannot take the time to actually read a link that is posted, I will post this for your benefit.

Due to medical reasons, rising senior fullback Zander Ogletree's football playing career at the University of Georgia has concluded. Ogletree will remain on athletic scholarship, continue to attend classes at Georgia and is on track to graduate.

I got money on Houston being next since he will never pass the piss test. 2 schollys down the drain before March, typical CMR fashion.
I have no prob with this. More money to give to walk-ons that deserve it. I'm more than happy to leave a spot for Houston.

any word on what the injury was or are we just assuming they told Z to not come back and we would still pay him?

No. He is leaving for medical reasons and staying on scholarship.
I've heard about Zander's condition.
That glaucoma will really sneak up on players these days.
End their careers, quick.
Good thing they have medicine for it.
Too bad Gumby's Pizza went out of business.
Z will have to find other cravings as he finishes his degree despite his ailment.
