It's been five months, how is his rehab going?

From everything I've heard, he's on pace to recover by spring ball but we'll be bringing him back slowly.

It will take him time to get back to full motion and speed. They should talk to him about applying for a medical redshirt. Then he would still have three years before he goes pro.

For last year?

He'll do that if he wants to be in Athens for 6 years, but there's next to a 0% chance that happens if he's healthy. He'll take his redshirt, and then be in Athens for 2, maybe three more years before going pro.

He already had a redshirt year last year, what is purpose of med red? You can't get 6 years of eligibility right?

I’m trying to remember specific examples, but you can get 6 years if you take a redshirt and then end up with a medical redshirt as well.

I’ll find an example for you.

This is correct. It doesn't matter for Zeus, as he was just a redshirt last year. Med Reds are typically only something you see if the player didn't qualify for a regular redshirt to begin with (ie. if he'd played 4 games and then blown it in the 5th under the new rules).

Kolton Houston is another example where a med-red was granted and netted an extra year of eligibility IIRC.

We should really be cautious with him. OVERLY cautious. We should be fine at RB next season without him getting a lot of carries.

Hopefully, he gets to be 100 percent. We need a bruiser like him.
