The interesting thing is going to be when AI deliberately kills someone. Not in the murder sense, but it sacrifices one person to save one or more others - most likely by way of deliberately crashing one vehicle to avoid crashing others. The family of the dead guy are going to have all sorts of fun claims against the AI manufacturer, unless the law is rewritten to eliminate liability for something like that.

Didnt know i hit send. point i was getting to is the way amazon employees are already bugging out: low wages, drivers paid as subs, and employees left on temp status indefinitely, it seems like every aspect that people viewed wal mart as the evil empire the last few decades amazon is saying hold my beer

Hell even their grocery stores are cashier-less. billing your phone when you walk out the door or something

Bezos vision for amazon seems pretty clear. It doesnt involve a hell of alot of humans ultimately lol

I was also talking more about the medical side of his comment which I know I didn't make clear. Radiologists aren't perfect and they read things slower than an AI would with lower accuracy. Pattern recognition in AI is far superior to human.
CAD is one thing and can be helpful (more as a help in making sure didn’t miss calcs on mammos etc) but when it comes to radiology interpreting studies it’s way way further off than most people think. There’s a lot of nuances in it that a computer struggles with and a big problem will be the computer will flag every tiny little thing and lead to lots of unnecessary workup and procedures etc.

Edit: AI is going to be more of a helpful tool than a replacement when it comes to medicine and particularly radiology

This can apply to lawyers too.

Maybe? Maybe radiology as a field? There are a few areas where it's probably ready for prime time. I doubt anyone would tryst their life to it yet and I can't see radiologists jumping on board to have their $400k+ salaries jeopardized by a Tegra 2 soc and some fancy programming.

Yea I meant it isn’t and won’t be ready as a replacement for a long long time. Can be helpful as an adjunct in some areas but still needs lots of oversight because of overcalls etc
