That’s why I wanted them to win out! But nooooo! Michigan had to frick up. Rather play them any day than play Bama twice. Still have a mild shot to keep Bama out if Notre Dame and Clemson don’t frick up. Have to hope the committee would like an Oklahoma or Ohio State over Bama. They’ll need to dominate their conference championship games.

Watching Clemson for the first time this year - believe it or not. Not impressed. In our current form we’d beat them. This secondary is porous bigly.

Clemson's the only one that would worry me.

I really think Alabama and Clemson are the only two teams I would pick to beat us head-to-head right now. OU would score on us for sure, but once again I don't think they could stop us. It'd be the Rose Bowl part 2 with near 100 points combined.

If not for Saban and Bama, UGA would have 2 more national titles (2012 and 2017) and be firmly in the hunt for another this year.

But we just so happen to occupy the same conference space as a program that has surpassed the dynasty moniker and we're either going to have to be patient as we assemble a comparable program to theirs or wait for Saban to do football as we know it a favor and let someone else have a shot.

With Michigan losing, id imagine you’re gonna have to beat Bama twice.

Same... Bama had their ticket punched into the playoff before the iron bowl even kicked off today

There will be a firestorm if a team loses it's way to the playoffs from another playoff.

Speaking of Clemson. Did I just see them attempt (poorly) to light up their shitty stadium?

As there should be. Bama has no business being in the playoffs with a loss to us. Second straight year they would lose their way into the playoffs.

Sooner or later, you should have to earn your way in. Forget this four best teams bullsh*t. That's just an excuse for them to put who they want in.

Last year they were 11-1 with their only loss being to a team that was ranked as high as #2 in November.

The only team they were competing with (since the top 3 seeds were locked in) was a 2-loss team that had a flat out embarrassing loss to a mediocre iowa.

The situations aren't remotely the same. If OSU beats Iowa last year they are in EASILY without quesiton. If OSU loses to iowa by 3 in teh final minutes they are still in over bama. If you wanna get pissed at someone blame ohio state, not bama.

It's called the regular season, ie your entire body of work. I want bama to be left out of the playoffs more than anyone, hence why I've been anti-upset all seaeson, but bama's total resume would be better than a lot of teams if they continue to keep getting upset.

UGA fans need to really, really pull hard for oklahoma and OSU to win their title games.

3 possible national titles in 6 years......we’d be a dynasty of normal dynasty’s......

I don't care. You shouldn't be able to lose your way into the playoffs. You sure as hell shouldn't get in if you can't win your conference or even your own division, unless there is complete calamity. They were soundly beaten by Auburn last year.

Not really. I still think we lose to Alabama. We're still too prone to missing tackles, giving up big plays, and being undisciplined. You can't do that against Bama. We're awfully young. I think Smart did a better coaching job this year than last.

Hopefully I'm dead wrong.

That we can agree on. I've been bitching about that all season.
