Light snowfall here in North Alabama. Predicting about 1/2" in the higher elevations.

Looks like those of us in Athens will only get rain. Odd all the snow is south and west of us.

Lots of sleet falling in Douglasville currently. I saw a prediction of potentially 3 inches here.

family in Birmingham got a few inches and stuck to their grass and patio, not the driveway or roads.
I am in Norcross right now and it is starting to be a snow/rain mix. Not sleet, but snow and rain.
Looks like it will change over to all snow here in the next 30-45 mins.

I hate the cold. We got orders from NAS Pensacola to Albany, NY for recruiting duty. Rotation dates were mid-December. When we left Pensacola it was like 88 or so...when we got to NY, it wasn't even 10.
We drove up to my parents' and stayed a couple of days and then drove the coast to Norfolk, VA to see friends and visit Williamsburg. Steadily got colder as we went up. Straight drive up the coastal type roads and then to NY. I was NOT prepared for that.
